Hello all,
I have recently purchased an E-Machine, it runs XP. Three times I have lost my system speakers and or volume control has been muted. When this happens, I am helpless when trying to get the PC to function because I lose speech. Once it was necessary to delete the driver for the speakers to work, once it was necessary to enable the speakers under device manager and finally the mute button had to be unchecked to reset my speech functionality. Most of these problems resulted because of a hard shut down due to a PC lock up. Are there any suggestions that would never allow volume control to be muted or to never allow the system speakers to be disabled?
Thanks,
John
