[gui-talk] Internet Explorer refuses to open some links

I am having a strange problem with internet explorer.

Every time I press enter on a link that opens another window, the computer 
clicks, and the page refuses to open.
Something is blocking the page to open in a new window, and I wish I knew 
what it was.

The one unusual thing about my internet explorer is that it is "provided by 
Verizon".

Any help would be appreciated.
