[gui-talk] Outlook Express Problem

In the past on lists where people had this problem, and also in a microsoft 
knowledge base article they suggest compacting your folders.
Go to the file menu.
Go to folder.
Enter on compact all folders.

I am experiencing a strange problem with outlook express under windows-me, 
When I attempt to delete messages they aren't deleted.  When I exit out of 
outlook express I get an error message saying that outlook was unable to 
delete files and an error has occurred.  Can anyone shed light on this one?
