[gui-talk] Many reasons to switch to Office2007

Hi Joel, FYI Clarence is an employee of GW Micro the manufacturer of
Window-Eyes so it would be rather illogical for him to comment on and/or
support JAWS usage in conjunction with office 2007 given this fact, kind
of like Ford supporting Chev automobiles.
Hope this info is helpful.

Clarence,

You don't say anything here about Jaws. Do you mean to imply that a
person using Jaws *can't* download the Beta and try it?
Thanks.

I've been reading the discussion about why not to switch to
Office2007 and the fact that it isn't working with screen readers. I
wanted to mention a couple of corrections. Our beta testers have
been using the public beta of Office2007 for quite some time as have
our developers and find it very, very usable indeed. However, there
is no reason to take my word for it. If you own Window-Eyes 6.0 then
you can download the public beta of Office2007 and try it for
yourself. If you don't own Window-Eyes 6.0 then you can download the
demo at http://www.gwmicro.com and try it yourself. I think you will
be quite pleasantly surprised. We find it very accessible and we
feel that individuals should be able to use the office product of
choice rather than be told how awful it will be. Better to
experience the good rather than fear the unknown. Give it a try and
be pleasantly pleased.
