[gui-talk] Printer recommendations?

I'm shopping for a new printer.  I've gone to the Amazon, Best Buy and 
Staples sites for ideas, but there doesn't seem to be any way to exclude ink 
cartridges from the search, and so I'm confronted with pages and pages of 
cartridges and printing paper before I can find the beginning of the 
printers, and by then I'm already burned out.
Does anyone know and like a current model that they feel is reliable., 
simple to operate and for which it's easy to replenish ink and paper without 
to much accessibility hassle?  I'm open to either an inkjet model-- My HP 
520 has only just now begun to fail seriously after something like 12 
years-- or a reasonably-priced laser unit.  Retail prices from as low as $50 
to around $125 or more will be considered.  All I need is black and white 
capability and a speed no slower than the usual minimum of around 15 ppm, 
though faster would certainly be more fun.
