[gui-talk] Spam filter for Outlook Express

Hi,

Are you people discussing this issue in terms of not having an ISP with its 
own spam filters at the mail server that you can adjust for sensitivity? 
Because both my last ISP and my present one provided this feature, and my 
current ISP manages to block zillions of spam emails every day although it 
lets through a handful, which doesn't upset me in the least when I go to my 
spam-holding page online and see how many have been held back.  Just 
wondering.

You can also slide the filter level on Norton's antispam program to
eliminate even more spam but you'll get more wrong hits.

| The spam filter that I've found most helpful in recent years is Norton's
| Antispam program, which comes bundled with Norton Antivirus or Norton
| Internet Security. Its fairly accessible. Though it doesn't catch all the
| spam, it does catch 95% or so of it. Even if you find messages you want to
| identify as spam or ones you don't want identified as spam, you can use

| application key to bring up the usual context menu where there will be a
| "Norton Antispam" submenu with choices such as this is spam, this is not
| spam, empty the spam folder, and settings. As long as you keep the
| definitions updated and browse the spam folder regularly to make sure
| nothing legit is being identified as spam, this programs should serve you
| well. I don't know how much it cost by itself, but as I said before, you
can
| get it bundled with the antivirus or internet security packages. pretty
good
| deal I'd say.
