The registry is a structured database in which the operating system and applications store data. The registry is rarely broken, whereas applications often are. There are a number of books and web sites that detail what information is contained in what sections.

Charles and list
That's a wonderful registry command.
Is there on line instruction or a digitized, hopefully free manual for persons wishing to fix problems in MS Windows and the 'registry'?
Presumably, such a manual would be the textbook for one studying to gain a Microsoft Certified Engineer [CME] degree?
Thanks.
Cordially

To delete the password, execute the following at a command prompt:
reg DELETE HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Ratings /v Key

Importance: High
Somehow, I managed to activate the Content Advisor in Internet Explorer.
Just how it happened, I have absolutely no idea. To make matters worse, in
order to turn this feature off, I have to provide a Supervisor's Password.
I am the only person who ever uses this computer, and I never entered a
password for anything on this system. Still, Windows insists that I provide
the required password.
Can anybody tell me where (folder / subdirectory) and the filename where I
can find and/or delete this required password?
