[gui-talk] Winamp Version 5.25 Build 812 Beta is now Available

Hi Liz. What I think you're talking about was Winamp version 3, and you're 
right, that wasn't very accessible. The new version 5 series of Winamps are 
very accessible with JFW, provided that you be sure to have the "Winamp 
classic style," radio button checked whenever it comes up in the 
installation process, I think toward the end.

In the newer versions of Winamp, from 5.22 on, the library has not been very 
accessible. However, if you only want to listen to a few select streams and 
your MP3's or CD's, then 5.13 will serve you well. If however you do want to 
access the many stations you can get with the library, then you can get 
those scripts that were mentioned before. Let me offer this though: many of 
the stations you access through the library, can also be gotten on the Shout 
Cast site at:
www.shoutcast.com
If you do a search for whatever kind of station you're looking for and click 
the listen link on that site, the station will come up in Winamp, provided 
you've setup everything in preferences. This is a good work around to the 
library access issue.
