Dear Rhonda,
Thanks for your e-mail.  I am so glad you know the Lord.  He is a great God.
My favorite bible verse is Romans 8-28 "And we know that all things work
together for good to those who love God and are called according to his
purpose."  I discovered Joni Eareckson Tada, who founded Joni and Friends
has DVD's that you can order about her television series.  The organization
is to assist disabled people.  They have retreats in the summer.  I just
received their newsletter in Braille.  The website is joniandfriens.org.  It
has information on how to contact them.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for such a great list.  Even though I've been on it for awhile, I'm 
just now getting around to introducing myself.

I've been blind all my life, was brought up in a Christian home, and have 
known the Lord for most of my life.  Although from a Baptist background, 
I've attended and been involved in a variety of churches, including 
interdenominational, Charismatic, Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and even 
Messianic Jewish congregations.

Currently, I'm president of the Dallas Christian Fellowship of the Blind, as

well as the Texas Church Conference of the Blind (TCCB).  Our Dallas 
fellowship meets once a month at a church for 2 hours.  The first hour is 
devoted to prayer, praise, sharing, and sometimes we have Bible quizzes and 
guest speakers.

The TCCB has annual retreats at Camp Mount Lebanon, a Baptist camp in Cedar 
Hill, near Dallas, Texas.  This year's retreat will be on August 8, 9 & 10, 
and the cost for the entire weekend is only $95.  If anyone is interested in

more details, please let me know.
