Hi Alisha,
I attended a church for many years that was wonderful and used my talents to
the fullest. But, the congregation was dying because the members are old.
After leaving this wonderful congregation, I have had the same struggles you
are dealing with. It has some to do with blindness but more to do with just
finding churches to be relevant.
It's like you are out in the world fighting and struggling with day to day
things and then you go into this bubble of superficial church speak.
I thank God for my salvation and I have been rooted in the Word of God.
But, some times I feel like I live in the year 2008 and the church lives in
1985.
But, I do want to belong to a church again because I know that this is the
only way to keep the relationship with God alive and meaningful. Plus, we
are commanded in the new testament not to forsake gathering with other
believers.
