Dear Lisa,
This is comforting to hear. I have heard it many times before, but
especially since my cousin passed away last week, it definitely comforts me.
I used to think when I was younger that I could hide from God, but that is
impossible.

Hello All:

Below is a devotional from In Touch Ministries. You should be able to click
on the links to go to the Devotional Archives if you wish, or subscribe to
the magazine...although, I don't know if they have it in braille or large
print. Everything in the magazine; however, is available from the In Touch
Ministries web site at: www.intouch.org . You should also be able to
click on the link to read the bible verses for the devotional. If you click
on the link at the bottom of this email, you will be taken to the actual web
page, which offers a link to listen to the devotional and other stuff.

This is a great reminder for me personally, and for me as the mother of a
child who is visually impaired. Since we both know the Lord, we can rest in
the fact that He is always with us, no matter what. We couldn't flee from
His presence even if we wanted to, which we don't.

It's very comforting to know that:
    1) We are not alone, even when family and friends are not surrounding
us. God is always there ready to listen. There is not a response of "I'm
too busy right now." or, "I have other plans." Or, anything of the like. He
will never leave us nor forsake us. He will never betray us.
    2) He will provide clear direction if we are submitted to His will.
Are we so close to Jesus that we are walking in His will and have no need to
figure out what His will is?
    3) He knows how we feel, what we need, and what we are about to say
before we say it. So, just say it! Don't be afraid. He wants that
relationship with us. He loves us and knows us better than we know
ourselves.
    4) His character is constant: faithful, reliable, and merciful, so
that we can trust Him in any situation. Who on earth can you say that you
trust 100% of the time? We cannot because we are human and imperfect. God
CAN be trusted 100% of the time. How awesome is that? That there is one
person in all creation that we can actually trust 100% of the time? There
is no room for error in God's actions. Praise God!

Wow! The attributes of God...who can name them?

Warmly,
Lisa

God's Greatness
READ | Psalm 89:1-10
David's heart-felt cries for help fill the Psalms. His prayers are a blend
of requests and worship that recall the Lord's greatness, power, and
protection. Praying with a recognition of God's amazing attributes reminds
us that He has the wisdom, strength, and compassion to meet all of our
needs."Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your
presence?" (Psalm 139:7). God is everywhere. He is not limited by time or
space, which means that we have never been away from His awareness for so
much as a single moment. Even when we feel isolated or friendless, we are
not alone, because God's presence covers the world."Great is our Lord and
abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite" (Psalm 147:5). God
knows everything. When we bend our knees to pray, He is already aware of the
feelings and needs we are about to mention. So we can be certain that when
we ask for direction, He will provide clear guidance if we are submitted to
His will."With [God] there is no variation or shifting shadow" (James 1:17).
God's character is constant. Since we can always trust that He will be
faithful, reliable, and merciful, we're able to place confidence in Him in
any situation. When a believer recalls an attribute of God that meets his
need, he places the focus of his prayer on the Lord rather than on the
request. By mixing praise into our prayers, we end up asking for less,
worshipping better, and receiving more because our emphasis is in the right
place.
