Eric, and All....
I know I briefly mentioned this email ( David Jeremiah - January 3rd - Deferred Performance) already, but I would like to say some specific things about it.
God has been speaking to me specifically about "waiting" in some areas of my life. And as it says, sometimes I feel like God doesn't show up when I want Him to...or rather, provide in those areas when I want Him to. He knows what is best for me, better than I do. He is teaching the concept of active waiting. And though I did for a time, and would to continue to in some respects, dwell on what I'm wairing for, God has blessed me with my obedience to Him. I have been seeking him out. The bible says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:33-34
This what I have been doing more precisely lately. What I have found is that what I was anxious about or to have, God has filled me with peace in those areas. Those I still have those desires in my life, I am better able to handle where I currently am because I am seeking after God and He is filling me. Does this mean that I will never have what it is that I want or desire because God is currently filling me? No. He may or may not choose to provide those desires of my heart. If He does, and He may, He will still always be the center of my life and be the One to fill my every need. Only God can do that. However, He also places individuals in our lives to meet some of our needs, to minister to our hearts, to help us grow, etc.
I am thankful that I know God and have a personal relationship with Him. Nothing could be more precious or initmate. I will wait for my God to provide!
Warmly,
Lisa
