My husband, Nicholas Wilcox and I have been married for two years. We love
the Lord, and we greatly desire children. I have septo optic dysplasia,
which caused total blindness from birth and hypopituitarism. Due to my lack
of hormone production, we have been unable to conceive. God is going to need
to work a miracle for me to get pregnant. So far, he has not chosen to do
this, but we are still praying. We are also open to adopting infants,
especially those that are blind or have other special needs. We have two
strikes against us. We are blind, and we are low income. I have S.S.I. and
my husband has S.S.D.I and part time work in adaptive computer technology.
Agencies for adoption hear these things and either do not return our phone
calls, or tell us we are unable to adopt because of our low income status.
Please pray that God would grant our request for children, whether by
conception or adoption. Also, if you know of an other blind individuals who
were able to adopt even though they are low income, I would love to network
with them, and find out how they were able to adopt.
