Hello All,
Want to do some good in the world? Why not send some
braille resources to this organization, to help other
blind people. Any braille materials and books would be
good, most likely, but might I suggest Christian
braille materials even? (smile)
Come on, us Americans, even those of us who think we're
poor or broke, well, most of us if we're honest, have
too much "stuff" laying around anyway. Why not give it
to something, to someone, who could actually put it to
good use? Good use, through good efforts, thanks to a
great God! Please help if you can. And God bless your
efforts!
Here's the notice. It's a plea for braille materials
and "blindness" items, posted in the December 2006
issue of the Braille Monitor Magazine:
"Donations Needed:
The Braille Library Service of Khulna, Bangladesh,
needs used Braille books and magazines, slates and
styluses, Braille writing paper, abacuses, Braille
watches, talking watches, white canes, Perkins
Braillers, and any other kind of Braille materials. The
Bangladesh Society for the Disabled has been abolished,
and the National Society of the Blind has now been
established. One of the projects this new organization
has initiated is the Braille Library Service.
Contributions may be sent to Moin Chowdhury, Post Box:
42, G.P.O. 9000, Khulna, Bangladesh."
God Bless Your Efforts!
