Beth,

Thank you, thank you, for responding!

I was told that, too, and have! I have made my list of qualities in what I
think would be the best type of man for me. I've prayed and prayed and am
still praying for that special mate. God has brought men into my life since my
divorce, and what I realized is that, what I want for me, and what God wants
for me, may not be the same thing. I do have some requirements, though.
Any man that I would consider for a mate must be of the same faith as me. He
must love God with all his heart, soul, mind and strength. He must be
suitable to me and me to him, and also to my children as a father figure, and my
children must be comfortable with him. He must be able to contribute to the
finances, if not provide completely, as I have so much on my hands with my
children and need to be at home to care for their needs. I have some other
requirements that I will refrain from putting on this list. As far as disability,
physical appearance, and other things, they are all negotiable. Why would I
give up the chance as a sighted woman to be with someone who meets my
requirements just because he is blind. Or, because he isn't the "most gorgeous guy
around", or because he isn't slim, but rather heavy, or because he is way
too skinny, or whatever the case may be. All that is simply not a priority. I
mean, everyone dreams of the most gorgeous man or woman by their side, but
in reality, it really doesn't matter. Beauty is found in the heart of a
person.

Beth, keep praying. But please don't miss God's blessing because you don't
bend on negotiable things. Make your list again and put a star by the things
you must absolutely have in a mate. Everything else then will be icing on
the cake. Keep in mind, when you really love someone, he will be luminous to
you.

Beth, do you mind me asking if you are blind or sighted?

If you would like to talk off list, please feel free to email me at:

Warmly,
