Hello All:
I hope this is not too bold to post, but it has been on my mind lately, and
I see how it is negatively affecting people, including myself.
I want to encourage both men and women who are VI/Blind and are single, but
wish to have a life-long mate. I realize that there are concerns that the
sighted woman would want the "good-looking guy" with the fancy car (not my
priority), or whatever it is that interests women of these days. Likewise, that
sighted men would want a "good-looking woman" with whatever it is men think
is ideal these days. But know this...those things don't matter. There are
people out there who look at the heart of a person and consider that more
important than all the world has to offer. Be encouraged, and I speak to myself
as well for other reasons, that if God wants you to have a mate, he will
provide you with one. I must keep believing this myself. I strongly believe that
if a person has the desire to be married, that God, in His timing, will
provide that need, regardless of your circumstances. If you fall into this
subject of which I speak, begin, if you haven't already, preparing yourself for
your future mate. Get yourself right with God, because that is most
important. The closer to God you become, His desires will become your desires and you
will be better prepared for that mate. Now, does that mean that we have to
be perfect for God to provide us with someone to live the rest of our lives
with? Absolutely not! But we must not give striving for what is good and
right. God could very well provide your mate in the midst of chaos in your
life. But don't let that stop you from getting to know God more, learning to
love Him more, and doing what is right. He could provide someone for you at any
place in your walk.
Be encouraged, for God loves you and "works for the good of those who love
Him".
