To a certain extent, your concern is valid. But I always remind
my students--half joking and at least half seriously--that their
parents are all my friends. So they'd better mind their P's and
Q's. I don't teach Sunday school but the regular day-school
classes in lit, grammar, and history. Some classes are more prone
to do things that you don't want them to do than others.
So much of the regular church-world is adopting a team-teaching
approach because they are afraid of people praying on the
young. Some do not allow a teacher by herself or himself in a SS
class because, I guess, they're so afraid of law-suits and the like.
In any event, one might do a very good job of team teaching. You
take the story or the application, the other person taking some other
aspect; or trading off.
For students who have an adequate fear of the Lord, this sort of
behavior ought not to be too big a problem.
