Good evening everyone,
Last night and this morning we heard television adds for an exciting
Christmas film to premier next month in a theater near you; Newline cinema's
The Nativity Story. We just checked out a Web Site with more information
about this film and wanted to share it with you all. I downloaded one of the
teaser clips and from what I saw the film appears to stay true to the
Biblical account of the events surrounding Christ's birth. It's about time
we had more good quality Christmas films produced by Hollywood's studios. We
plan to see it once we know where it's playing and will buy the sound track
and the DVD when they become available.
Another Christmas story on my list of holiday events to be presented as
a motion picture would be a film about the Christmas Truce of 1914. If
you're familiar with the events of that Christmas Eve in Europe on the front
lines you'd quickly observe that those events could have ended World-War I
on Christmas Day of that year if the nations involved decided to settle
their disputes around the bargaining table rather than wasting the lives of
countless men in the trenches of that war. Would Catherine Hardwicke,
Newline Cinema, and/or Peter Jackson please take note? Films are or would be
what Christmas is all about. Here is the information for The Nativity Story:
