Dear Faith Talk Members,

Just a brief note to request your uplifting of prayers.

Sunday May 28 at 2 p.m. I will be ordained into the largest mainstream Protestant denomination in our country, the United Church of Canada. With my dog guide Titan at my side, I will be the first totally blind person to be ordained in this denomination, and from what we are told, the first totally blind person to be ordained in our country of Canada.

If anyone has any awareness of anyone totally blind who hasbeen ordained in Canada, I would love to make the connection.

I am humbled and awed to be serving God in the answer of this call. Another blind person is now in the beginning stages of his discernment process to determine his call to ministry.

Please pray for me and for the many who are being ordained in Conferences across our country this weekend.

Our Celebration of Ministry service is both the climax and wrap up of a three day meeting of our Conference, this year titled "Winds of Change".

My fellow ordinands and I prayerfully go forward in this new beginning.

Thank-you for your prayers.

Grace and Peace,
Sharon
