Hello, Alicia. Welcome to the list. The list has not been very active of
late. No one seems to questions or issues, I guess. Sometimes questions
are asked about a particular passage of Scripture, how to be more involved
in your faith community as a blind person, or a prayer request or answer,
accessible Bible software--just about anything the people here want to
discuss or ask about. So, if something's on your mind, go for it. First,
though, tell us a little about yourself. We have both pastors and lay
people here.
I'm a Baptist living in Columbus, Nebraska. I teach vocal music in our
Christian school, give vocal and piano lessons in my home, work with our
choir, and sing solos, duets, trios, etc. when asked by those above me in
authority. I moved from Wisconsin about two years ago.
We have an unusual situation here, I think. There are three blind women,
all single, in this congregation. We all use note takers during the
services and Sunday School classes, since we carry the complete KJV Bible
and the hymnals we use with us.
How's that for starters? Blessings, Linda Mentink
