A VERY GOOD CHOICE! And Bosch tech support very helpful.
In wireless mode, make sure washer is taken out of demo mode, as that's
how they originally come when you install the dishwasher. If you need
help, email me off list, and I'll try and help you out. My email is:

This means it is shorter than a typical dishwasher, but it also has physical buttons for all the controls. It's great being able to adjust the settings on my own. I have not tried the remote app yet. We'll see how the first test load comes out. I'm impressed with how quiet it is. I'm amused by the fact that it shines a small red light on the floor when it is running. I was able to detect this with my Colorino.

One model is in the 300 series; the other is in the 800 series. Both models come in 24" (standard) and 18" (compact) widths. Other differences include:
> -- the 800 model is nominally quieter (42 dB) than the 300 model(44 - 46 dB).
> -- the 800 series uses the CrystalDry drying system. The 300 series uses a system they call PureDry. Bosch says "Our patented CrystalDryT technology delivers 60% better drying results" compared to Bosch Dishwashers with PureDry.
> -- The 800 model consumes 557 gal/year of water, compared with 494 gal/year for the 300 series.
> -- Bosch estimates a total annual power consumption of 240 kWh for both models.
> -- the 800 model retails for $1349; the 300 series retails for $999. This price may change, depending on the chosen finish (stainless steel, white, etc.)

I have a Bosch, and use the iPhone app to do things such as: control the type of load (heavy vs. normal) sanitize; full load/half load, etc. The washer remembers what you did on the last load, so if you use the physical buttons the next load, just press Power and Start.
