[Electronics-Talk] Converting cassettes to digital

I have plenty of cassettes I'd like to convert to MP3 files.  I see a bunch
of Walkman-style machines on Amazon that don't cost a lot and say they'll do
the job.  Some of them use Audacity to do the conversion, and I've read that
Audacity is accessible.

Does anyone have experience with doing this kind of conversion?  Can anyone
recommend a machine?
