[Dtb-talk] DAISY Pipeline and Word add-in Installation Issues

Good afternoon everyone,

I successfully installed the DAISY Pipeline on both of our computers and
will begin configuring it over the next few days. The one issue I have with
this and other software packages I use is their insistence on use of the,
"Lame MP3 Encoder." It would be preferable for folks like myself if the
Pipeline and similar programs would give us the option of using the default
MP3 encoder on our computers and elect to install Lame is we prefer to do
so. If we're satisfied with the audio quality produced by the MP3 encoder on
our machines software like Pipeline should find it and permit us to use it
if that's our preference instead of demanding that we install Lame.

We use Office XP under Windows XP on both of our computers. I'm
having trouble installing the Save as DAISY add-in for Microsoft Word on
both of our computers. I copied the messages displayed during these attempts
below in the hopes someone can help me troubleshoot this problem. Here they
are:

When attempting to install the DAISY Translator for Microsoft Word on my
computer I'm receiving the following

message:

DAISY translator for Microsoft Word dialogue. Unable to satisfy all
prerequisites for DAISY Translator add-in for Microsoft

Word to be installed successfully. Setup cannot continue until all
components are successfully installed.Details Button

Close Button.

I tried to look up the details of why the add-in won't install, but was
unable to activate the, "Details Button" using JAWS 9.0. On another computer
I'm being told that a critical file was not downloaded and that I should
redownload the add-in. I also downloaded the JAWS Scripts for the DAISY
Pipeline and received a corrupt file for my trouble. If someone can send me
a good archive of these scripts that will be one problem solved on both
machines. Thanks in advance for your help.
