[Dtb-talk] Fwd: Victor Reader Stream Shipping Now

Hi,
I ordered on the 9th or 10th of July. I received it about 2 Pm so I
haven't yet put any files on my 4 GB card. The battery is very easy to
insert and remove and was charged in about an hour so it must been
already fully charged when shipped. The Stream hangs upside down in the
very thin and nice black leather case. The front flap is fastened with
Velcro at the top and hangs down when open. I use headset with a 90
degree plug, which, when plugged into the side jack allows the cord to
be routed inside the leather case and upwards, to provide the best
strain relief. I would not recommend a straight plug. Overall it
appears to be well designed and noticibly smaller than my Bookport.

Richard, do you recall approximately when you ordered?

I hope you can post some impressions when you get a good feel for
things.

Thank you!

Hi,
I received my Stream today. Yesterday I received an automated phone
message with the tracking number and the delivery date. There is a
prompt to repeat the tracking information so that you are able to write
it down.

Richard

David, thank you for forwarding this announcement that the Stream
is
shipping.

Has anyone been told if people are informed when their unit is
shipped? I
wrote asking that question and only got an auto reply that the
person, I
forget the name, would be out of the office the next few weeks.

I just wondered if they send you anything like a tracking number,
etc. or
does the Stream just show up on the doorstep one day. That was how
I knew I
had the Braille Plus from APH.

Many thanks!
