[Dtb-talk] VRStream and WMA Support?

Hello,
Okay, I think I found what you referenced in the secondary FAQ regarding
VRStream sales and delivery, but that question being addressed was about
"protected" WMA files from special sources, not just the general WMA
format into which Windows users can rip their CDs. Maybe it's a pain to
get licensing for that format, but it would be a very nice addition to
the Stream's repertoire.
Why wasn't that question in the primary FAQ, the one regarding VRStream
usage??? Odd...
Thanks,
Joe

Hi Ray,
I've read the VRStream FAQ at the following address, but I cannot find
any reference to "WMA" or "Windows Media" anywhere in it (text searches)
and none of the questions address the question of WMA support.

Joe, here's what the FAQ regarding your question says--in summary. They
are working on the ability to play WMA files; but, there is as yet no
firm date for this to be completed. If you go to:
www.humanware.com
and click on the Victor Stream page then click the FAQ page, you'll find
this very question addressed.
HTH.

Hello all,
The Humanware audio presentation of the webcast a few nights ago does
not play fully -- It breaks up then goes quiet after exactly 33 minutes.
I was joined to the web discussion for the first part, but then had to
leave, so I never heard the response (if any was given) to the question
I wrote in. So here is my question in the hope that someone knows the
answer (I also wrote to Humanware about it, but have not heard anything
in reply):
Does anyone know if/when WMA files will be supported (in addition to MP3
and the other formats)?
I just got my VRStream and love it except for the fact that it does not
play anything from my huge library of WMA-encoded audio books and music.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
