[Dtb-talk] Over the Top in Darkness as Daisy

I am a programmer for a hospital. As part of that work we needed to
convert some legal document to DAISY format. At that time the software
to do this was in excess of $4000. So I sat down and wrote DTBmaker (http://w3.wmcnet.org/dtbmaker
) a free, open source digital talking book production software from
Macintosh and Linux. Over a year or so I have added to that software
making small improvements to it as time permits. One of the
improvements I recently made was to be able to take collections of
audio files and create DASIY books from them. Which is what I did here.
So I guess I am a one man daisy conversion project of sorts. I suppose
I could offer a tutorial on how I do these using DTBmaker. DTBmaker
for Macintosh, the only version with a full GUI that is VoiceOVer
compatible has extensive help and documentation under the help menu.
I'm not a Windows programmer and I hope that someone who is might take
up the task of giving DTBmaker a Windows version. THe basic program is
a Perl script.
