Hello Dan and listers,
It depends whether or not the book is still under copyright or not. Greg
previously stated that he will not distribute books known to still be
protected by copyright or he secures permission to offer them as DAISY Books
such as NFB Literature. I'm pretty sure he has all hands on deck and that
this book is no longer protected by copyright. hence his willingness to
offer it in DAISY format.

While I am very impressed with Greg's technical abilities and initiative -
and speed - in creating a Daisy version of a 7 volume book, I always thought
that we are allowed to make such transfers for our personal use. I realize
you're not selling the book or making a profit but the publisher or author
might
gets a bit miffed to realize that the book is being distributed outside
usual channels.
In one sense, this is similar to BookShare, isn't it, where we scan in
books and submit them for use by other visually-impaired and blind folks,
which
is certainly what's happening here. I wonder if BookShare could accept
this
book? I suspect not because the book is actually a narrated book - that
is, it is more than text.
Just wondering,
