Dear Victor Reader Stream Customer:

The following information has been provided to HumanWare from the
Bose headphone company.
-----------------

We've tested the Bose QC3 headphones with the VictorReader Stream
player. Here is some information that may be helpful to
VictorReader Stream users:

The "hiss" heard while using the products together is caused by an
interaction between the design of the player and new technology in
the QC3. This doesn't occur with other Bose headphones, including
the QC2.

Owners can try the following: Connect the QC3 headphones to the
VictorReader Stream player using the QC3's dual-plug airline
adapter. To use the adapter, fold down the second plug and insert
the fixed plug into the output jack of the player. Then plug the
QC3 audio connecting cable into the narrow end of the adapter. The
sound level will be reduced. To compensate, increase the volume on
the player.

If the options we've offered do not resolve the issue to
satisfaction, owners can contact Bose in the United States at
800-999-2673; or contact us through the Bose website at www.bose.com
