Have had eexperieince with both libre 2 and dexcom g 5 through 7. Both required a bit of patience on the first day.both take time to kick in with the fac that libre you cant calibrate unless that has changed with later libre 3 and 3 plus senssors.dexcom it’s the same but the advantage you can calibrate to at least get it more accurate as possible. Both take a day to get their algorithm in check.

I only have experience with Dexcom so not exactly sure how they compare but the first day with a new Dexcom often is real quirky with some inaccuracies and then it may settle down and be fine for the next nine days. Very occasionally, I’ll get one that I just can’t get calibrated correctly and it will never read right so I end up replacing it. Unfortunately, both brands have some periodic issues and I think in general they are probably pretty equal. most of the time my Dexcom works very well.
Patricia.

You should check with Abbott to see if the batch you have is among the ones they know of that were defective. I know they sent out emails about this and have replaced all that I know of in good faith. Even in switching pharmacies you could have the same problem. We had three go bad, in my husband's stash, and 2 in mine, but once we got through those all has been fine. The price for Dexcom is much higher, and your insurance company may or may not cover it. It is easy to blame Libre for this, and I notice that even when a problem is being rectified by them people want things faster. But the only way you get replacement censors faster is if you pick them up locally. Mail order is slower, but I find that I save quite a bit of money on my costs. So I say think carefully and wisely before you jump ship because no product is always perfect.

I was getting constant false low glucose alarms I tested and verified my sugar wasn't that low. I got about a week into the new sensor and got so frustrated I replaced it with another one. This one is also reading lower than usual, but it's not off as much. I use an on line pharmacy and I'm afraid something is off with this whole batch of sensors.
