Hi Gary
As of today, from what I know, and I am totally blind going on 35 years now, the Prodigy Voice is sold in Amazon and they sell the strips as well seperately and it is totally accissible to the blind.
You can set up date, date, you can hear your memory and everything can be set up by yourself.

I cant find the exact one that you recrecommended a while back on amazon.i found a few others that in the description sated they are talking glucose meters that are now on amazon.that I am planning on trying to se how they do.they have reviews that its useable by people who are blind or are low vision . When I asked gemini AI , that was the results I was able to get as far as detail info .

I use the Contour as a backup for my Dexcom G7. The only information I use on the app is just the current blood glucose value when doing a fingerstick. This is accessible as well as the history of previous blood glucose values done. The vvisual graph, of course is not accessible, but I don’t need that. The only two times I needed assistance with this device was when I first bought it and needed to pair it with my phone and the second time was when I had to buy a new phone and again had to pair with a new phone. I think it might be possible to pair it without sighted Assistance by calling technical support and having them walk you through the process. You do press the button and watch for some sort of a light to pair, but I think perhaps by following their guidance of just how many seconds to hold down the button that you could get it to work without sighted assistance. I did find the technical support department to be helpful with any questions I have had.
Patricia.
