I just received this email from CCDC, regarding a bill that is coming up.  It happens to be on the 18th, when the NFB will be at the capital.  It would be amazing if many could attend this hearing, supporting CCDC and this bill, that will be discussed.  We work better in a group and I am so grateful we partner with CCDC in so many things.

Hi All

 

One of CCDC's priority bills HB 25-1017  Community Integration Plan Individuals with Disabilities is being heard in the House Health and Human Services Committee on Tuesday, February 18 Upon Adjournment (approximately 15 minutes after the House ends their work - it could start anytime between 9:30-11. Bring a book or a computer)  This bill will put in Colorado Statute the tenants of Olmstead. Olmstead provides the right for people with disabilities to live in the least restrictive environment. People have the right to live in community rather than institutions. Please help us pack the room! It will be heard in HCR 0112 basement of the Capitol. Please spread the word!
