[Colorado-Talk] RTD Access On Demand/Access A Ride proposed changes feedback session today, 12:00 PM

Hey Colorado family!

Today at noon, RTD is holding a meeting via Zoom outlining proposed changes to the Access on Demand program and has a portion of the meeting dedicated to public comment. We need everyone who can to attend and speak up! I attended last night, and I’ll give you the changes in a nutshell:

• Base fair: $4.50, $2.25 for Live customers
• Trips per month: 30
• Price RTD covers per trip after the base fair is paid: $30.
• Hours and service area of Access on Demand usage will change to reflect the hours and service area Access A Ride operates in.
• New model of usage is that we are supposed to use Access A Ride for repeated trips like work and school, and only use Access on Demand for shopping, medical appointments, and unforeseen circumstances. That is the justification they give for reducing the ride count to 30.

Obviously I have many many concerns about this and am very unhappy with the proposed recommendations. I hope as many of you will attend as possible  and make a comment regarding this proposal.
