Hello all,

If you live in or near Jefferson County and are a blind voter, please read.

I was contacted by Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder’s Office (Lakewood, Golden, Morrison, Evergreen, etc) to ask if I could help them add a blind voter to theCommunity Advisory Board. The advisory board is volunteer and helps the county ensure accessible voting as well as other projects. Since I live on the east side, on the border between Denver and Arapahoe County, I hope that someone who lives in JeffCo would be interested.

I think that this should not be limited to blind voters, but that they should be open to all voter’s with disabilities who are interested in assisting the county, so please share.

Here is more info and the contact:

The Jeffco Clerk's Office is recruiting a few new members for its community advisory board. Known as STEAM (Service, Transparency, Equity, Accessibility, and Modernization), this group provides feedback and input on our programs and processes, ranging from how to increase voter turnout, where to locate ballot drop boxes, what messages will resonate with constituents, and more. The committee meets seven times each year for 90-minute meetings and is made up of a wide range of ages, backgrounds, experiences, and expertise. I thought you or other Jeffco NFBCO folks might be interested and a good fit, so I'm reaching out to invite you to apply <https://forms.office.com/g/ZEMKCtEKJH> !

We'll be accepting applications until December 31. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
