Greetings -

Tomorrow is an important hearing in the Colorado House Judiciary
Committee. The bill is HB21-1110, Colorado Laws for Persons with
Disabilities. The hearing is at 1:30 and the link to the committee
page is below.

This bill would bring Colorado disability law into line with the
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as it applies to state, county
and city governments, as well as public entities such as RTD and local
school districts.

The significant contribution to this bill by the Nfb of Colorado is
the requirement for these same public entities to follow the most
current accepted web accessibility standards, and it gives them three
years to get their web sites accessible.

The fact sheet for this bill is attached. You can listen to the
committee hearing tomorrow beginning at 1:30 p.m. HB21-1110 is listed
first on the agenda for the hearing tomorrow. That either means that
if you're late, you might miss some of the testimony, or it might mean
that they won't take the bills in the order in which they are listed.
In any case, here's the link to the Judiciary Committee page. On it
you'll find the members listed, and a link that says "Committee
Audio". Enter on that link and the hearing audio should start.
