Greetings All -

It's Denver chapter meeting time this Saturday, June 19 from 10 to
noon! We will be all-virtual one last time. That's right, no in-person
this month, though we want to acknowledge that many of our members
have been hoping we could be in person for June. We all want to see
the end of distance and even isolation for some. And it will come
soon.

The NFB of Colorado Board of Directors agreed in principle this month
that any in-person chapter meetings need to also have a virtual
component. In other words, if we meet in person, we still need to
provide Zoom participation for those who are unable to come. This will
be the case for the foreseeable future. Zoom meetings leave some
members out, but permit others to participate who might otherwise be
able to come to a meeting. This Zoom things is simply part of how we
will serve our members going forward. Meantime, we are working toward
finding the balance, but frankly no one in the state has quite figured
out how to do this. Personally, I have confidence that we will figure
it out soon. But for this month, it's Zoom again.

Gee, that sounds like a great line for a country song.

But of course, the really big news is the upcoming 2021 NFB
Convention, live from everywhere! We will spend our time going over
the way things will work, some highlights and tricks to make the
convention more accessible to you. Again, here's a virtual event that
makes if so much more accessible to thousands more, if only for
financial or travel reasons.

And we'll also talk about what to expect in the next few months,
including the 6 dot dash in September and the NFBCO convention in
October.

So, join us this Saturday at 10 with a cool drink of water for this
pummeling heat, Or maybe an iced latte!

See you Saturday!

Dan

The Denver Chapter is continuing its Employment Series in our monthly
meeting on April 17th. This meeting will be jam-packed, starting out
with a panel discussing a variety of employment topics and moving into
mock interviews that will be conducted by several volunteers.

We want to give everyone who wants to participate the ability to do
so, so we ask that you please inform us if you would like to
participate by Thursday April 15th so that we can respect everyone's
time and create a schedule Please email Erin Daley at
daleyem at gmail.com<mailto:daleyem at gmail.com> to be put on the schedule
or with any questions.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to turn their camera on for the
mock interview portion; there will be a breakout room where someone
will be available to give feedback on ensuring that your camera is on
and centered, etc.

To provide an authentic experience, we have written a sample job
posting that all interviewees can use to prepare for this interview.

Please note that you do not need to send in a resume to participate in
the mock interview. This is meant to assist with interviewing skills,
not with resumes.

Thank you!
