[Colorado-Talk] Shutting Up Join/Leave Announcements in Zoom

Hi Tim,
I have been thinking about how both teachers and students will deal withthis issue in the classroom.
But for the purposes of simply silencing your screen reader; I use insert and space, then press the letter S. That will silence Jaws but not unload it.
I'm not sure of the command for NVDA.
All my best
Kevin

Subject: [Colorado-Talk] Shutting Up Join/Leave Announcements in Zoom

Happy Convention, all,

Help!

I use NVDA on my PC, and it interrupts and alerts me every time someone joins or leaves a Zoom meeting. In crowded meetings, this can be pretty obnoxious.
Does anyone know how to shut this off, either in Zoom or NVDA?

Thanks for any help.

Cheers,
Tim
