> November 21, 2020
>
> The meeting, held via Zoom, was called to order at 10:30 a.m. by President Dale Holden with eighteen people present.
>
> After playing the Live Presidential Release for November and the usual introductions, the minutes of our October 24 meeting were read. It was moved and seconded to approve the minutes as read. The motion passed.
>
> Treasurer Cynthia Coffin reported that our current account balance stands at $460.08. It was moved and seconded to accept the treasurer’s report. The motion passed.
>
> There was some discussion about a pilot program operated by RTD which enables eligible Access-a-Ride passengers to use Uber transportation during morning and afternoon peak hours. Curtis Chong read some detailed information from Larry Buter, Access-a-Ride Manager, detailing the differences between this Uber pilot and the Access-a-Cab service, also available to Access-a-Ride passengers.
>
> The next item on the agenda was a YouTube presentation entitled Lived Experiences with Self Confidence: A Conversation with Blindness Experts. This presentation led to an intense discussion among our members about the importance of self-confidence, the difference between confidence and prudence, and blindness as a positive selling point.
>
> We next discussed how, in December, we could arrange a virtual celebration among our members for the holidays. Peggy and Edith are taking charge of the planning for this event. December 19 from 10:30 to 12:30 was proposed as the date and time for this holiday gathering via Zoom.
>
> Curtis Chong, Voting Rights Coordinator for the NFB of Colorado, reported on a meeting he and NFBCO President Scott LaBarre held with Colorado’s Secretary of State, Jena Griswold. Colorado is far and away a national leader in the area of mail-in and accessible voting. We have high hopes that Secretary Griswold will work with the NFB of Colorado and other disability advocacy organizations to implement an accessible system through which voters with disabilities will be able to send in their marked ballots electronically instead of being required to find and use a printer.
>
> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 12:34 p.m.
>
> Respectfully submitted,
