[Colorado-Talk] RTD provides passengers with options for holiday travel

(DENVER) Nov. 25, 2019 -- As the holiday season kicks off with Thanksgiving Day this Thursday, using the Regional Transportation District (RTD) is a safe and convenient option for passengers to get to Denver International Airport, where riders can use the University of Colorado A Line and the SkyRide Bus Routes AB, AT, AA, 169L or the 145X. Passengers can benefit from RTD’s Trip Planner to plan their trip.

On Thanksgiving, RTD service will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule. Passengers should check the RTD website and plan accordingly. Service will resume to normal weekday hours on Friday, Nov. 29.

Some things to think about when traveling for the holidays:

PARKING

Parking is available for free at most Park-n-Rides for the first 24 hours and $2 per day after that for residents living in the RTD district. For residents outside of the RTD district, the parking fee is $4 per day. Passengers can click here to find out if they are in the district.

PURCHASING TICKETS VIA APPS

Passengers can skip the lines and buy tickets via RTD’s Mobile Tickets and Transit apps.

UBER APP

RTD riders can also use the Uber app to purchase tickets and be able to get an Uber driver to take them to or from a rail or bus station all in the Uber app.

SAFETY

Safety is an RTD core value. During the holidays, if you see something, say

something via RTD’s Transit Watch app and always use RTD if you’ve been out celebrating.
