As Director of the Colorado Center for the Blind I am asking you to support the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado's scholarship and BELL (Braille Enrichment in Literacy and Learning) programs by purchasing Amazing Colorado Raffle Tickets!  You can win part of the $4000 in cash prizes, but online sales end October 21!

 

Why am I asking you to support the NFB of Colorado?  It's simple.  When the doors of the Colorado Center for the Blind opened 30 years ago in 1988, it was the efforts of the NFB of Colorado that made it happen and, through its fund-raising efforts, kept these doors open for years.  We are self-supporting now, but in a very real sense we are still a program of the NFB of Colorado.  We use the training strategies and philosophy of the NFB to ensure our students have the best blindness skills possible, and the confidence and attitudes necessary for success.

 

Tickets are $10 or $20 for three, and the prizes are $2500, $1000 or $500.  Funds raised support BELL camps for blind kids across the state each summer, as well as the NFB of Colorado's Scholarships.  This year we have four scholarship winners studying everything from computer science to Constitutional Law.  The work of the NFB of Colorado to help blind Coloradans to live the lives they want runs parallel with the CCB's charge to our students to "Take Charge with Confidence and Self-reliance".

Or you can stop by CCB and purchase them right up until Thursday afternoon,October 25, when we leave for our annual convention.  The winning tickets will be drawn on Saturday, October 27 at our convention banquet.  You don't have to be  present to win, but you do have to buy a ticket!
