Those residing in, or visiting the Denver area, know how quiet the shuttles are downtown on our Sixteenth Street Mall. RTD sent the attached RTD Bulletin to their shuttle operators on 2 June 2017. I obtained this document through a request through the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA).

Continue being very observant when you are downtown. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE send an E-mail to customercare at rtd-denver.com<mailto:customercare at rtd-denver.com> if you do not hear the bells being rang advising people of the presence of the FreeMall Shuttles. Include Scott LaBarre and myself as a cc so I can follow-up with you. It is necessary to follow-up to ensure RTD contacts you. Joe Tripplett and I will work with RTD to ensure everyone who submits a concern to the E-mail address I provided receives a response. General Manager Genova and Scott will receive an E-mail from me. If necessary, I will speak at the next meeting on 25 July 2017 informing the Board there were no responses.

Any responses received are also important to share. This also will ensure RTD does not give you the brush off for submitting a complaint on a very important topic to us all.

All Colorado Chapter Presidents, PLEASE discuss this issue of the quiet shuttles with your chapter members. Even if you do not reside in the Denver area. Be on the lookout for quiet vehicles which may be introduced to your respective transit agency. Contact Scott and myself once you learn of any quiet vehicles. I do not wish to see the virus of the quiet vehicles spreading to other transit agencies within Colorado, or our Nation.
