[Colorado-talk] Open Casting Call

Are you now, or have you ever wanted to be a thespian?  Are you interested in joining the "Not Ready for National Convention Capitol Players?"  Read on, McDuff!  Or is that Macbeth?

You can sign up now for an open casting call.  Ladies and germs, how do we take an issue of great importance to people who are blind and vision impaired; and bring resolution and opportunity through the political process?  The work we do at Washington Seminar and at our day at the Capitol, changes lives.  It is no laughing matter, and yet we can have some laughs and at the same time, learn together how we can best relay and articulate our hopes and aspirations to legislators and policy makers.   (I think that sentence was a soliloquy!)

We need the Greek chorus.  After all, the Greeks had a lot to do with this whole democracy thing.  We need a distinguished senator, we need an evil state representative, we need the kind-hearted soul who has served for quite a spell in the general assembly, who wants to do for us, whether we want it or not.  We need some advocates who understand the issue, well, at least somewhat.  We need to bring our theatrical, hysterical, historical, democratical legislation to life before our very ears at the upcoming NFBCO state convention.

Please call me if you would like to audition for the cast.  Please note that there will be some time commitment prior to convention.  We'll have three or four conference calls of no more than one hour in duration.  During these calls we will begin to outline our little "improvisational reader's theater."  During these calls we will begin to practice a bit.  You will not need to be on every single call, but we'd like a commitment that you will at least try to make at least three of the four calls.  I hope you will be interested in auditioning.  Frankly, not everyone will be chosen.  This will be a highly competitive, highly-polished production.  Ok, well, almost everybody will be included and the production will be, what it is.
