I'm all for starting your own business, and 
believe working from home as a viable opportunity 
for entrepreneurial minds, blind or not. along 
that vein, I thought some might be interested in 
this business training opportunity from the SBA in 
Denver, described below.

Want to understand how successful entrepreneurs 
think? Have an idea for a business but having 
trouble taking the entrepreneurial leap? Own a 
business but feeling stagnant or looking to chart 
a new course? This 10-week program is designed to 
teach participants a proven entrepreneurial 
thought process and help participants cultivate an 
entrepreneurial mindset. Learn to identify 
problems and evaluate them as opportunities while 
being inspired by real-life entrepreneurs.

27th and September 2nd from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm* in 
downtown Denver that will give you the opportunity 
to meet the facilitator Adam Melnick, Senior 
Entrepreneurship Officer. Adam will help you 
understand more about what the training entails, 
what you can expect to learn, and who benefits

Entrepreneurship Training
> Course Details

The most critical element for success in starting 
a business is having the appropriate mindset.

Using an experiential approach to teaching, which 
includes classroom facilitation, online content, 
interaction with successful entrepreneurs who have 
“been there and done that,” and actively engaging 
the potential stakeholders to your business, 
Colorado Lending Source’s certified facilitators 
will help develop your entrepreneurial mindset.

What to Expect

•Core concepts delivered in two to three hours of 
online content per week including interviews with 
entrepreneurs of various backgrounds demonstrating 
that anyone, with the right mindset, can 
successfully start a small business

•Ten, two-hour weekly classroom sessions that 
ensure participants understand core concepts

•Close personal interaction with experienced 
entrepreneurs

•Learn the eight critical entrepreneurial mindset 
characteristics presented in the book Who Owns the 
Ice House by Pulitzer prize nominee Clifton 
Taulbert

•Create a Vision Statement to guide your 
entrepreneurial journey
•Learn to use the Opportunity Discovery Canvas to 
evaluate your business idea or new direction for 
your current business
•Access to one-on-one meetings with facilitators
•Free admission to Colorado Lending Source events
•Access to a network of previous Ice House
