[Colorado-talk] To strike or not to strike?

Hello all. Chris, thank you for posting this, and for your summary of
yesterday's meeting. There was also a write-up in the City Desk section of
today's Denver post, but it wasn't nearly as extensive as the one in the
DDN. If I can find the text of it, I'll post it here.

I, too, was at the meeting, and Chris is right, the double talk was
unbelievable. I was proud that so many Federationists were there yesterday,
and it was positively awesome to see the shock of RTD, ATU, and the
state-appointed commissioners at the number of people that turned out for
this hearing. They didn't have a P.A system, as they were not expecting us,
and as Chris said, they had to add more chairs. Even though it seems to be
a foregone conclusion that ATU will be given the right to strike, perhaps we
made a statement by our presence yesterday.

Alicia
