[Colorado-talk] The Passing of Long-time Federationist Paul Lorensen

Scott C. LaBarre, President of the NFB of Colorado, reports the following
sad news:

It is with great sadness that I report the passing of Paul Lorensen who left
this Earth on Saturday evening, February 2.  Paul had been living in Brush,
Colorado for about ten years.  For those who did not know Paul, he was a
long-time leader in our Colorado Federation through the late 1990's.  He
served as an officer of our affiliate and for many years was president of
our Denver Chapter.  Paul was an incredibly bright and fun-loving individual
and he will be missed. 

A memorial service will be held at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 1100
W. Platte Avenue in Fort Morgan on Thursday, February 7, 2008, at 10:30 AM.
Private inurnment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Friends who wish
may make memorial gifts to the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, Eben Ezer
Lutheran Care Center in Brush, or to the National Federal of the Blind, c/o
Heer Mortuary, 222 Cameron Street, Brush, CO 80723.

Our Federation family plans to conduct a remembrance for Paul some time
soon.  We will give you more details as we have them.
