Friends:
It is urgent that you contact the members of the House Appropriations Committee today. Please tell them to support H.B. 1274, a bill that will creat the
Colorado Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired. We have found a funding mechanism that will not increase the state budget or take from other
programs. Representative Joe Rice, the bill's sponsor, will be presenting the bill to Appropriation at 7:30 tomorrow morning. Please send an e-mail
or call every committee member. The list of names, e-mails, and phone numbers is below. In the subject line of an e-mail should say something like "support
H.B. 1274."
Thanks for your help on this important issue. I believe that we have a good chance of getting this passed. Call me or write me with any questions.
