[Colorado-talk] Senate Alert- House Bill 1274- Urgent

  Dear NFB of Colorado members and friends,
   
  House Bill 07-1274 Creation of a Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired was just scheduled to be heard tomorrow, Tuesday, April 10, by the State, Veterans and Military Affairs Committee. This is not the Committee we had anticipated and was only just listed on today's Senate calendar. 
  The Senate convenes at 9:00 a.m. and the Committee will meet immediately "Upon Adjournment." There is no way to know the exact time of adjournment so it would be best if everyone can arrive by 9:30 a.m. The Senate meets on the second floor of the Capitol Building but the Committee will meet in Senate Conference Room 353 (SCR353) which is on the third floor. 
  The bill sponsor in the Senate is Senator Suzanne Williams who can be reached at (303) 866-3432 or by email at Suzanne.williams.senate at state.co.us.
  The State, Veterans and Military Affairs Committee membership is listed below, along with their phone numbers and email addresses. Even if you plan to attend the hearing it is important that you call or email committee members to express your support for HR07-1274 Creation of Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
