Service  *

The State Department seeks to ensure our workforce reflects the richness
and diversity of the American people.  As Secretary Blinken has stated,
“Diversity and inclusion make us stronger, smarter, more creative, and more
innovative.  And our diversity gives us a significant competitive advantage
on the world stage.”  To increase awareness, the Bureau of Global Talent
Management’s Office of Accessibility and Accommodations (GTM/OAA) and the
Talent Acquisition Managing Directorate (GTM/TAC) are hosting a virtual
event, October 31 at 12 noon EDT, to help broaden the Department’s efforts
to recruit Civil Service (CS) candidates with disabilities.

The event will:

   1. Highlight the careers and accomplishments of CS employees with
   disabilities,
   2. Demystify the work of the Department,
   3. Advance the Department’s diversity, equity, inclusion, and
   accessibility (DEIA) objectives, and
   4. Address the Department’s goal of building a diverse, inclusive,
   resilient, and dynamic workforce by showcasing the valuable contributions
   of employees with disabilities.
