Subject: [CCCNFBW] appointment to the transportation and mobility commission
and other updates

Chapter members:

A few months ago someone put out on our list serve that the city of
Vancouver was seeking a candidate to the transportation and mobility
commission. I applied and interviewed a couple weeks ago with councilmembers
Stober, Fox and Harless. I received an email on Monday the councilmembers
were recommending me for an appointment. This is another way in which we can
ensure our voice is heard through serving on these city commissions. I
encourage all of us to find some way we can ensure we are represented at the
table in these efforts. I would like to remind committees to please meet
before our chapter meeting on March 12. In addition, with the mask mandate
being lifted on March 12, I think it is time we begin meeting in person
again. I am exploring some options so this can occur. We will of course need
to ensure hybrid access is available still, but it is time we get back out
in the community and continue the work of the Federation. I will also be
reaching out to the board to schedule a board meeting before March 12. Also,
if you are planning on attending national convention and need financial
assistance, please let me know directly by March 15. Thank you and please
reach out to me via email or phone with any questions.

     Corey Grandstaff, Chapter President
