[CCCNFBW] Meeting with Jaime Herrera Beutler - We need YOU

Yesterday I heard back from Congresswoman Herrera Beutler’s office. We have an appointment to meet with her next Tuesday, February 8, from 12:20 to 12:35 PM. She wants to hear from her constituents about our issues. 

She has already cosponsored HR 431, the Access Technology Affordability Act so we will thank her for that in the beginning and move on to the other issues. They are HR 4853, Medical Devices Nonvisual Display Accessibility Act, the Twenty-First Century Websites and Applications Access Act (no bill introduced yet) and HR 2373, the Transformation to Competitive Integrated Employment Act. 

We want to ask her if she will cosponsor HR 4853 and HR 2373 and ask her if she will support the websites and apps bill when it is introduced. We need one chapter member to present each of the three issues. We also need other chapter members to be on the call because she likes to have as many of her constituents as possible in the meeting.

This is a 15 minute meeting with Congresswoman Herrera Beutler so we need everyone to be on time. We will open the zoom link early, at 12 PM to give everyone time to get ready. It is helpful to have your video on if you were able but this is not a requirement.

I’m very excited that we have a meeting with the Congresswoman. I and other members from around the state will be on the call to back you up but this really needs to be your presentation. Please contact me ASAP to talk about the issue you want to present. We will send out the Zoom link closer to the meeting date.

Clark County chapter members did a great job presenting our issues to Congresswoman Herrera Beutler last year and I know we will do just as well this year.
