Fellow Federationists:

Although I have held out on sending this e-mail as long as possible, and I have given this a lot of thought, with all of the guidance given by our government and the CDC, it is necessary to cancel the wine and cheese event. The chapter board is meeting Friday via Zoom to get on the same page and of course, as always, this meeting is open to the public. I will send the call-in details later this week. In addition, at this time, WSSB is not allowing groups to meet at WSSB until at least the end of April: therefore, we will also be discussing other options for our April meeting. Although I would like to say I have hope we can reschedule our wine and cheese event later this summer, I am not sure this is a reality. With restaurants and bars closing, obtaining in-kind donations at this time is going to be challenging. It will take businesses months to recover from this shut-down. Therefore, at this time, I am not planning on us rescheduling for this year: however, this is something the board will discuss Friday. As always, we are a network of people who supports each other through the good and the bad: therefore, if you are in need of someone to assist you by doing a grocery store run, picking up medications, etc, please reach out to one of our fellow chapter members. Thank you, and please stay healthy and calm through this situation.
